okay basically this livejournal's gonna just be a spirtual journal man. ahhaha. took adriel's words for it! hahah.

so basically, today's service was really eventful.
yongxian came up to me and ask a really innocent question that is really a FAQ.

"why do you believe in God?"

and seeing her in church since p6 kinda suprised me. like uhhh.. hahah.

well, my answer to her was simple. "Faith."

and then people will probably ask, why do you have faith?

and i think that if we dont have faith, we wont have hope right? like if we want something from our parents, a new handphone for example, we will bug them and badger them til we get it right? and knowing that because they love us, we will get it. by acknowledging that knowledge of us getting it is already having faith in them to buy a new phone for us.

"Now, faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we cannot see." - Hebrews 11:1

However, the existence of God cannot be proven or disproved. The Bible even says that we must accept by faith the fact that God exists, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). If God so desired, He could simply appear and prove to the whole world that He exists. But if He did that, there would be no need for faith. i think that faith is really a foundation in our walk with God. and something that marks the start of a really exciting journey with Him!

if you notice, all the miracles in the bible is really by the act of faith and by affirming it.

In 1 Kings 2:16-38 Elijah challenged 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of Asherah seeing whos God is real. whether the Baal God is real or whether Elijah's God is real. After cutting themselves and shouting at their top of their lungs from morning all the way til evening. (powerful lungs i must say. i dont thing the parade commander can shout for that long! hahah.) whereas Elijah, handicapped himself by getting people to fill four large jars with water and pour it on the alter and everything on it. not just once but thrice. thats 3 x 4 which is = 12 large jars. and WITH FAITH and AFFIRMATION, he prayed and asked God to prove that hes not just another false God. and in verse 38 it says, "Then the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench." like WHOW. check that out man.

and well, if you notice also, majority of the miracles in the bible (maybe all, i'm not too sure man. ahhaha. i'm not a theologian!) are done by verbal affirmations and declarations also with faith which is the basis to our relationship with God. like what adriel said in his book, The Salvation Equation, when in prayer, we must first affirm who we are in Christ. (Faith appropriation) then we surrender every aspect of our lives unto His hands (Faith surrender) then only will we come to commune with and feel his presense. (Faith relationship) and also with the help of others in the body of Christ. (Faith community) 

so anyway, yongxian was asking apologetical questions and all? which i mean is really very good. it beats her bottling it up and at the end of the day just flood her own mind with wrong preconceptions which will in turn, just get her sliding back more and more. 

and one question she asked was EXACTLY what i asked adriel on wed night.

"What about those who lives deep in the jungle where there is no evangalism going on there. (basically, tribal people) if they do not hear anything about God, when they die, do they actually go to hell?"

well and adriel told her what he told me. basically, it is impossible for human to look up at the sky and not aknowledge the fact that there is a greater being. a creator. and if they were to ask, wholeheartedly, "God if you are real, reveal yourself to me." and God WILL reveal himself to them. for it is said "You will seek Me and find Me; when you seek Me with all your heart, I will be found by you." and if we go back even further, there was a time where in China, before Buddhism, Taoism and what have you even started, chinese were monotheistic and believed that there was a single God. Whom they called Shang Di. (in direct translation, up, ground. heh.)  well and if we go further back. to the time of the tower of Babel, we realised that actually, then, man spoke in one language and believed in God. until God split them up and confused them by making them speak in different languages. and they then went onto they seperate ways.

i just wanna end off with a really great story. Guys, READ IT. uhhm, girls too. basically, JUST READ IT.


Science and God
'Let me explain the problem science has with Jesus Christ.' The atheist
professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his
new students to stand.

'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'

'Yes sir,' the student says.

'So you believe in God?'

'Absolutely.'

'Is God good?'

'Sure! God's good.'

'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'

'Yes.'

'Are you good or evil?'

'The Bible says I'm evil.'

The professor grins knowingly. 'Aha! The Bible!' He considers for a
moment.

'Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you
can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?'

'Yes sir, I would.'

'So you're good...!'

'I wouldn't say that.'

'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if
you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't.'

The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He
doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even
though he prayed to Jesus to heal him How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can
you answer that one?'

The student remains silent.

'No, you can't, can you?' the professor says. He takes a sip of
water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.

'Let's start again, young fella Is God good?'

'Er...yes,' the student says.

'Is Satan good?'

The student doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'

'Then where does Satan come from?'

The student : 'From...God...'

'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there
evil in this world?'

'Yes, sir.'

'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything,
correct?'

'Yes.'

'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created
everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to
the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'

Without allowing the student to answer, the professor continues:
'Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible
things, do they exist in this world?'

The student: 'Yes.'

'So who created them?'

The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his
question. 'Who created them? There is still no answer. Suddenly the
lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is
mesmerized.

'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you believe in
Jesus Christ, son?'

The student's voice is confident: 'Yes, professor, I do.'

The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you
use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen
Jesus?'

'No sir. I've never seen Him'

'Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?'

'No, sir, I have not.'

'Have you ever actually felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or
smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus
Christ, or God for that matter?'

'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't.'

'Yet you still believe in him?'

'Yes.'

'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable
protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that,
son?'

'Nothing,' the student replies. 'I only have my faith.'

'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem
science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.'

The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a
question of his own. 'Professor, is there such thing as heat?'

'Yes,' the professor replies. 'There's heat.'

'And is there such a thing as cold?'

'Yes, son, there's cold too.'

'No sir, there isn't.'

The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested.
The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain.

'You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat,
mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we
don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below
zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is
no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the
lowest -458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when
it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have
or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat.
You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of
heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units
because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the
absence of it.'

Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom,
sounding like a hammer.

'What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as
darkness?'

'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation. 'What is night
if it isn't darkness?'

'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the
absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright
light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have
Nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to
define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able
to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?'

The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him.
This will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making, young man?'

'Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is
flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.'

The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time.
'Flawed? Can you explain how?'

'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student
explains. 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good
God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something
finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a
thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much
less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life
is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive
thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.'

'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they
evolved from a monkey?'

'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young
man, yes, of course I do'

'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?'

The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he
realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.

'Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work
and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you
not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a
preacher?'

The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the
Commotion has subsided.

'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other
student, let me give you an example of what I mean.'

The student looks around the room. 'Is there anyone in the class
who has ever seen the professor's brain?' The class breaks out into
laughter.

'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain,
felt the professor's brain, touched or smelled the professor's brain? No
one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of
empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no
brain, with all due respect, sir. So if science says you have no brain,
how can we trust your lectures, sir?'

Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the
student, his face unreadable.

Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. 'I
guess you'll have to take them on faith.'

'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists
with life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as
evil?'

Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We
see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man.
It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world.
These manifestations are nothing else but evil.'

To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at
least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God.
It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe
the absence of God.

God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when
man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold
that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there
is no light.'

The professor sat down.

then on the first day, woke up really early but we were still late though.
heh. dennis's mum fetched us to the airport. ahhaha. and gee, i was
a MILLIONAIRE! hahahahha. then like during the flight, kieran and i
were playing pokemon! hahaha. when we reached, all of us were like
okayokay. eric loh's dead. hes gonna be caught by the customs and
he'll have to pay them. hahaha. then we kept laughing about it la. ahha.
and throughout the trip it was always dennis kieran jason hansel and me.
hahahah. but eric didnt get caught la. heh. and then so we left for
STB-ACS(INTL) JKT! hahahaha. it was damn exciting. but the ride was
killer la. it was FREAKING hot okay! hahahah. we were all burning la. haha.
then when we finally saw the school we all cheered la! hahaha. the school
is DAMN big la. ahahhah. then when we reached, everybody kept staring
at us la. ahhaha.

their canteen is damn cute. ahhaha. only two stalls and you'll have to use
coupons. ahhaha. but its fully air-conditioned! hahaha. well, then after that
we went to play soccer with them. hahaha. i must say they've got really
good players. hahaha. but all of them are really very hardworking. ahhaha.
they just wont give up la. ahahhaha. final score? 3-2! shit man. hahah. they
scored a last min la. ahhaha.

then after that, ryan came and pick dennis kieran and i up. and we went to
his place. hahaha. hes damn funny la. ahhaha. his driver doesnt understand
english at all? hahah. so when we talked bout his driver, ryan's like, aiyaa
he doesnt understand english for shit la. hes fucking dumb. hahaha. i was like
WTH?! you just insulted him in his face?! then the funniest part was that his
driver was just driving like as if nth happened. ahhahah.

then we bought superior and we were like drinking throughout the night la.
hahaha. well, not exactly, throughout til like one plus? hahahha. and shit man
that area's like piracy haven la! hahaha.

no eating in class then i was like, eh sir, i didnt have breakfast this morning la. i
brought this from home and i'm damn hungry! got gastric la sir. then hes like. ohh
okay okay. then hurry eat! dont dirty the room. then after that, i was like thanks sir!
hahahha. then dennis had to take out his bread and eat also then justin also. and
then ram got angry la! hahah. he was like, i let you eat then the others also eat. all
of you go out and eat! hahah. i was like UHHH... so we just went toilet and eat la. haha

then during recess when to play soccer but only for 5 min?! cause the ball came late
but at the end it was like 2-2?! hahha! it was damn fast-paced la. school this year is

okay. today was kinda long but damn fun! hahah. went tuition and mrchoo called
me big sized?! HAHAH. then well, after tuition went for the meeting and i was
apparently early! hahah. reach ps at 1240 and i was like searching high and low
for my soya bean milk! hahaha. then by the time i was done and at yw, it was like
1+ ? hahah. so after the meeting like bout 4, we all break and i left with alex and
liwen. hahha. and as i needed to go toilet, they were nice enough to wait! hahah.
but when i was out, liwen was gone!! -.- hahahha. so just went to the bus stop 
with alex. walau shes super law abiding la. one small road also must wait for the
green man. HAHAH. SERIOUSLY. okay anyways. then after that went to sch to meet
dennis and wong. gyming wasnt that bad la. but then again, we were cut  short la.
or at least I was cut short since they went in earlier. hahha. after gyming we went
to the toilet and took a few photos! HAHAHA. okay. i know thats kinda gay. but still!
hahahha. it was damn fun. and i got prisonbreak season1!!! HAHAHA. stupid dennis
was the first to ask me to lend it to him?! like wth, its not even mine in the first place?!
hahah. now i just gotta find time to watch it! hahah.

and omg, its damn cool la. for founder's day, some acs(jakarta) students would be
coming over to celebrate with us la. ahha. and like since its an exchange prog. , some
of the student leaders who signed up will be going to there too! omg, i hope i'm selected
la. ahhaha. since its like draw lots?! HAHAH. AHHH!! i wanna go!! omg man. damn fun la!

hahaha. AHHH!! its been SOOO busy past few days! hahaha. well, lets start from
sat shall we? hahah. on sat, mum allowed me to skip mrchoo! hahaha. but wth,
i missed out la. so i guess i've got alil catching up to do. well, obviously there was
a reason why she allowed me to! hahaha. cause we had like the christmas party?
all the small kids were like dressed formally la. hahaha. so i mean, not being a
wet blanket especially we're the host, i somehow dressed up as neo. hahah. it
was damn stupid la. i wore like school pants, long sleeved white shirt and this
trench coat or how you spell it. then i couldnt find any neo lookalike shades so i
went to get the one where yknw, you wear it when youre watching the tv and it
somehow improves your eyesight? hahahahha. while my bro dress up like some
stupid sheriff la. HAHAH.

then after that, like at round 4 or so, my bro and i left for church for the rehearsal
and whoa, it was kinda fun la! hahaha. like all the players inside were like all quite
pro? so it was rather honourable playing with them ((: hahahah. and ISAAC PRAKASH
was there! hahahahaha. what a suprise la. hahaha. my old band mate! hahaha.
but hes in tp's band now. hahaha. and then we ended at like 630? and then my bro
and i went to like slack around church at "choke" seats for candlelight. WALAU, we
booked ONE WHOLE ROW la. ahhaha. somehow. heh. but still it wasnt enough!
cause like ernest and wayne didnt ask us to book seats for them. but luckily they
managed to sit near us. ahhaha. like infront of us. it was soo fun la candle light! :D
my cup didnt get burnt. hahaha. i'm a good kid. and i got SCOLDED for being too
noisy when it was actually shumei! hahahahhaha. she kept laughing la! ahahha.
and i got scolded. -.- hahaha. and after candlelight, went to jp's house. reached
there at like 11+? then after that, played MAJONG! HAHAHA. won the game! :D ahha.
then well, after that we all watched kong pow! HAHAHA its a DAMN stupid and yet
hilarious show. HAHAHA, we were all laughing like crap la. ESPECIALLY JASON
as usual! hahaha. but their voices are SUPER annoying. ahhahahha. then omg,
i was so proud of myself. everybody drank except ME! :D:D hahaha. i didnt even 
TOUCH it okay. hahaha.  and after kongpow, we watched texas chainsaw massacre
i SWEAR i'm nevver gonna step foot into texas. ahhaha. the show was SO sick la.
that hewitt guy is a phsycopath man. hahah. and after that, we watched see no evil.
hahaha. but i didnt really watch that show la. it wasnt that enticing. hahaha. then
chua and i went up and while he wrote his christmas cards, i was slacking around.
hahaha.

and we delayed our supposedly supper all the way til 5plus la. so our supper became
BREAKFAST. ahhaha. wth man. ahhaha. then we went to dennis's house there to
have our breakfast! hahaha. was super full la. then well, went chua's house, bathed,
went church and WOW, church was funn!! ahhaha. as usual la. after that, went to eat
and watched the holiday with ernest wayne chua hans and sam. hahaha. omg, chua
and i fell asleep la. hahahaha. but i didnt fall asleep that much la. HEH.

the holiday was a seriously nice show. :D should go watch it! hahaha. then like rushed
back to church for the rehearsal. ahhaha. it wasnt THAT bad la. heh. then well, on monday,
woke up SUPER early la. like at 530. then when i checked my phone for the time, i was
like WHAT. had like 22 unread msgs la. hahaha. well, then went to bathe, WHOA. i nearly
died la. when i on the shower, i jumped la. ahhaha. the water was SOOOO darn cold! haha.
i forgot to on the heater? ahhaha. so i just kinda bathed in ultra cold water. hahaha. then
got changed and went church! ahhaha. reached church at like 7.11? hahaha. so we were
kinda late cause like rehearsal was supposed to start at 7. heh. then well, played for both
services!! hahaha. and apparently, i was caught playing the sax on the cam! so malu! haha.
then well, after the services, kor and jiejie came!!! hahaha. and well, they were with my parents
and they brought FAITH AND FARIS! hahaha. omg, both of them are SUPER cute. ahahhah
i love them two to BITS! AHHH!! hahaha. then well, went to ps with alot of ppl la. damn lazy
to name. ahhaha. and then tiff and mil met us and followed us and tiff dropped her hippo from
1st floor to 2nd basement la. HAHAHAHA. it was SUPER funny la. hahaha. well then after
that went to play a lil pool and then like went back to kor's house for dinner!!! hahaha. had
like LOBSTER? WHOA its SUPER nice. hahahah. i love lobsters :D ahhaha. and then watched
vampire bats. ahhaha. its UHHH.. so so la. ahhahaha. and then gabriel stayed over at our
house! hahaha. havent seen him for a long time!! hahaha.
